Lyrics

My Favorite Story

Around the campfire, sitting at the bar
On a bench in front of a small town store where all the old timers are
In a fishing boat, in the barber's chair
I've heard the best of storytellers here and there

Down around the block, at the shopping mall
On a Friday evening fish fry down at the old town hall
In a factory shop, or with my radio on
There's been so many different stories come and gone

But my favorite story is about a storyteller
He came from heaven to share his good news
He loved this world so the gave his life to prove it
And now invites you to tell the story to

Now everyone has a favorite old time story
And I guess that I'm no different from the rest
My favorite story is about a man they called Jesus
Yes that's the story I still like the best
