PA Girl
Now there’s this girl I know, and though I live in Ohio
I don’t mind driving to Pennsylvania, to see her
I just wait for a sunny day, then I hit that expressway
And make the two hour trip, just to see her
We’ll go out to eat lunch, and talk about a bunch of stuff
Then head out for a walk, or to the local mall to shop
Now though the list of things we do, might not impress some of you
But there’s a whole lot more going on, than what appears to you
One day when I was sad and blue, I prayed to the Lord about what I should do
I wanted a special someone that I could talk to
He led me to a dating site and brought that girl right into my life
Come to find out, she was praying to
Now we got this special relationship, and though its hard to define it
I truly believe that it was heaven sent
And I don’t know what the future holds, or what might be on down the road
Or exactly how that someday will unfold
There is one thing that I can say for sure
I really like being with this PA girl
We mostly like the same kind of things, I can strum and she can sing
And sometimes we sing silly songs as we’re out and about
And when we have different points of view, we always seem to work it through
I guess that’s what really good friends try to do
After my visit on my way home, I am praying and I am thanking the Lord
I’m winking at the sun, enjoying the M & M’s that I’m munchin’ on
I’m honking at all of the cows I pass, getting a little goofy I guess
And probably, the only reason why
I know that this Pa girl really enjoys being with this Ohio guy
