Lyrics
Supermarket Super Saver
I walk into the supermarket, with a grocery list in my hand
A calculator tucked in my pocket, to total every box and can
I have a wallet full of coupons, and a written out shopping plan
One thing is for certain, I am no ordinary shopping man
I’m a supermarket, super saver, shopping kind a guy
And I’ll drive all over town to save a dime
I’m a supermarket, super saver, shopping kind of guy
And I’m a grocery guru legend, in my own mind
I won’t push a cart with a squeaky wheel, I won’t touch the hand bar till its wiped
I always start in isle number one, I’m the routine, orderly type
I cruise down every isle, looking for buy one get one free
With an eye out for that special deal, save more when you buy three
I’ll search through a dozen items, to find the best expiration date
And the only thing that makes it in my shopping cart
Are the products on sale that day
I’ll resist the temptation down every isle, to buy foods that I love to eat
I’ll treat them like forbidden fruit, unless I can save 10 percent at least
When I make it to the checkout line, and approach the speedy cashier
I’ll give her a head tilt and a half closed left eye
to reminder her whose standing here
I closely watch the totals ring up, I’ve fine tuned checking out to an art
And before she can tell me my total, I whip out my fuel perks discount card
