Lyrics

Back To Ohio

Georgia’s known for peaches and those pretty southern belles
Tennessee that’s real easy country music and Nashville
Kentucky’s got the coal mines bluegrass music and those horse farms
And Ohio well that’s my very own home town

I’m driving through Georgia, Tennessee and the State of Kentucky
On my way back to Ohio
I’m let’n the highway be my guide US Route 75
Prettiest countryside that I have known
Cruiz’n along the rivers and over those mountain tops
Y’all got something down here that Ohio just ain’t got
So I tip my hat to you and say thank you for the view
As I’m driving right on through back to Ohio

Now its true that I’ve been through many States over the years
In the eastern past of this grand ole USA
And every State has a claim ‘bout something that has brought them fame
And Ohio they have quite a few

Now often I have asked myself would I ever consider moving to the South
Some day down the road when I retire
I’ve kinda thought it through and I’ve kinda thought it out
And well I’ve gotta say sorry there’s one thing y’all aint ’got
You see my family and my friends all live in Ohio

You know what they say blood is thicker than water
So though I tip my hat to celebrate you and thank you for the awesome view
I’ll just be driving right on through back to Ohio
Catch Ya’ll later
