Lyrics

Are You Willing

It came to pass one day when I was in a certain town
Behold a man full of leprosy fell before me to the ground
Though in the eyes of society he was rejected and labeled unclean
He had the courage to speak these words out loud to me
Lord if you will, you can make me whole again

Are you willing, that’s the question that he asked
So little did the leper know, I came to earth to do just that
Though no one standing there understood the prophesy I was fulfilling
When I stretched forth my hand I said to him, I am willing

Now many years have passed since I have walked this earth
And all across this land there are many still sick, wounded and hurt
Society may have rejected and placed a label on so many
But If they only had the courage to speak those words their suffering may soon be ending
Lord if you will, you can make me whole again

Am I willing, that’s the question that you ask
Do you see my nail pierced feet and hands
And the stripes upon my back
If you understood the price I paid you wouldn’t even need to ask
Don’t you see I came to earth to do just that
I am willing, are you willing

But there’s a problem with my Body They’re so disconnected from their Head
Consumed with worldly pleasures
Not so concerned with things I said
If they’d just draw close to me to hear my heart and learn my ways
They just might learn the reason why their healing is delayed

When my heart filled with compassion, looks into your eyes of need
Believe me I know just how you’re feeling
I am wanting you to draw real close to me
I want to talk with you about your very needs
I am wanting you to draw real close to me
So I ask the very question that you asked of me
Are you willing
