Lyrics
Right In The Middle
There’s a broad way that most are traveling
And that road will take you wherever you want to go
There’s a narrow road that not many have known
Where few are brave enough to go
On the broad way you make up your own rules
And you can do whatever seems right in your own eyes
But the narrow road requires a sacrifice
Because that narrow road leads to Jesus Christ
Not an inch to the left, not an inch to the right
Not a step out in front, not a step back behind
Not a space down below, not a space up above
I wanna stay right in the middle
In the middle of the perfect will of God
When you turn your eyes upon Jesus Christ
And look full in his wonderful face
The things of this world become strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace
This world has a way of pulling us astray
To a lifestyle of pleasure and sin
But the longer you stay in the narrow way
The closer you get to him
Some think that they can join both ways together
And keep traveling down the middle of the road
And with an open mind they hope to some day find
Meaning in this life
To them carrying a cross is quite conflicting
Denying themselves the pleasures of the world just seems so odd
As for me I choose to be right in the middle
In the middle of the perfect will of God
