Lyrics

Never Thirst Again

A journeying man came into town, and he sat down by a well
And soon a woman came along, with empty jugs to fill
A conversation then took place, between the two of them
He said if you will drink from me, you will never thirst again

She said to him sir don’t you know, this well is very deep
And you have nothing in your hands, to draw a drink for me
He said I’ve water you know not of, from an everlasting spring
And if you knew who you talked to, you would take that drink from Him

No, No, No No, No, No No, No, No,
No, No, No No, No, No, No No
Thirst again, thirst again, thirst again
You will never thirst again

Well it seemed as though his piercing eyes, looked deep into her soul
And she realized there was nothing about her life he did not know
And it was if a veil was lifted, to expose a hidden part
For he knew there was a much, much deeper well
The depth of her dried up heart

The woman left her water pots, sitting at that well
And could not wait to get back into town to share with all
Come see a man who told me everything I’ve ever done
And so they quickly followed her to meet, this God sent one

And as they listened to His words, they invited Him to stay
And many from that town listened to all he had to say
And in a couple days He departed from all of them
And it ended up that many in that town, believed in Him

When the loving eyes of Jesus, look deep into your soul
Please understand there’s nothing about your life he does not know
And when he lifts that veil, to expose a hidden part
It’s only because he wants to fill the void, and the depth of your dried up heart
